MAIN STORY

The series premiered in 1957. Stopped in 1958 after 11 issues.

The series follows the efficient sheriff and happy-go-lucky crooning cowboy Smoky Dawson through adventures with his horse Flash.
The stories are loosely built on the Australian country music singer, radio star, and entertainer Herbert Henry Brown (1913-2008), better known as Smoky Dawson. He appeared in his own newspaper comic strip series during the late 1950s.
