Name: Semic Press (subsidiary of the worldwide Egmont Group).
Personal dates: Founded in Sweden in 1950 as a comic book subdivision of the publishing company Bonnier AB and has since then changed name several times (the most well known older name is probably Serieförlaget). Sold to Egmont in 1997.

Comments: The corporation's name is a contraction of Series and Comics. The Semic pages in this site contain  examples from the Swedish and the Norwegian main branches.

 

 

MAIN STORY

The series premiered in 1976. Stopped in 1986 after 11 issues, but continued under another publisher until 1990 (additional 4 issues).

This annual Swedish series contains diverse independent stories and articles of a scientific nature.

The series' Swedish title can be translated to Wonders of Science in English.
