MAIN STORY

The series premiered in 2000. Stopped in 2001 after 12 issues.

The series features the Hellenistic Egyptian demi-goddess Promethea from the 5th Century, who is magically transported into 1999 in New York City. Here she takes on the identity of the reporter Sophie Bangs in order to perform the task of bringing about the end of the world - the Apocalypse.
