MAIN STORY

The series premiered in 1949*. Stopped in 1954 after 20 issues.

The series' title character, Kaänga**, was a white boy who managed to flee from an expedition into Congo in Africa, that was attacked and destroyed by natives. He - whose's real name is unknown - grows up among apes into being a strong and righteous figure with the bynames Jungle King and Lord of the Jungle. Most of the time he is accompanied by a white girl named Ann Mason.

* The character was first published in Jungle Comics. ** This is the most used spelling for the character, but during his entire run in Fiction House's series he was also named Kaanga and Käanga.
