MAIN STORY

The series premiered in 1976. Stopped in 1981 after 10 issues.

The humorous stories take place in or around Chicago, USA, during the Prohibition. The title character is an honest policeman trying to deal with the bad apples in town; in fact, he has several encounters with known gangsters from the era. Goodbye is normally assisted by fellow policeman Howdy and the shoshine boy Washington.
