The starring character is Randolph 'Randy' Gray, officially a wealthy aircraft designer living in a stylish penthouse. His secret identity is that of the costumed air fighter pilot Jet Fury, who ventures out on perilous adventures in his own invention, an advanced plane named The Comet, which takes off from his penthouse. His missions take him to exotic locations where he battles racketeers and foreign spies. Fury is often accompanied by his co-pilot Blacky and his girlfriend Sandy Collier.
