MAIN STORY

The series premiered in 1955. Stopped the same year after 10 issues.

The starring character in this humoristic series is the blond bombshell Jane Whirly, who is part of the WAC (Women's Army Corps). Her odd actions and special ideas are rarely in compliance with the military code, but she is second to none in cheering up the troops.

The wartime term G.I. is mostly considered slang for Government Issue, meaning that the American troops could be considered as disposable units as for their equipment and weaponry.
