MAIN STORY

The series premiered in 1955. Stopped in 1956 after 9 issues.

The starring character in this Western series is American Eagle, chief of the Crow Indians around 1860. He is righteous and brave in his efforts to battle white criminals and hostile tribes. He is also realistic and visionary towards the American military when they jointly try to bring peace to the area.

The series has nothing to do with the flag-draped American superhero of the same name, who was introduced in 1942.
