MANIFEST

This is a graphic online lexicon containing a wide range of comic characters and their creators.

The lexicon is primarily based on the graphic creators' panels for the individual comics. The panels may have been drawn from any of the creators credited on the page.

The original creators will only be credited briefly with their most well-known work. It is not the intention of this site to necessarily mention everything they have accomplished. You will be given only the names of any well-known successors.

All worldwide comics will, given time, find a place in this site.

The panels will mostly be presented as they appeared originally, i.e. panels from newspaper strips will be in black and white, while the rest will be in colour.

All comics' titles and primary characters will be mentioned in their original languages only.

There will not be any dialogue shown in the panels. This is partly because the site reaches readers all over the world - and not all of them understand English - and partly because a portion of the comics derive from other countries - and not all English speaking readers understand foreign languages. And, as mentioned above, this site concentrates on graphics more than on dialogue.

Technically, the site is not modern in its design. It is far more interesting to me to share knowledge and information than to present it in a professional or trendy manner, and consequently you will not experience the site in a version, which will be competitive to other similar sites.

The site is run on a non-profit, one-man basis and it is not subject to any commercial interests.

All comic panels reproduced in this site are for the purposes of review only, and all rights remain with their creators. The editor is fully responsible - judicial and otherwise - for the site's contents.
