MAIN STORY

The series premiered in 1945. Stopped in 1948 after 23 issues*.

The series features Kingston 'King' Cole Jr., who is a young detective in his father's detective agency. Uncharacteristically for his profession he is mild-mannered and eager to avoid violence. Instead he prefers to neutralize villains by using his brain, which has also nicknamed him Master Mind. He is most often assisted in his adventures by a faithful secretary named Iris.
