MAIN STORY

The series premiered in 1970. Stopped in 1979 after 65 issues, but continued under the Whitman label until 1984 (an additional 16 issues).

The starring character is Sam nicknamed Yosemite. Mainly he is depicted as a choleric and grouchy gunslinging type who has a hair-trigger temper and an adversion to rabbits - represented by his 'favourite' Bugs Bunny.

The series is based on animated cartoons that ran from 1945 to 2011.

The full title of the series is Yosemite Sam and Bugs Bunny.
