The series premiered in 1949. Stopped in 1954 after 56 issues*.

The starring character is the white man Yarmak, who primarily lives in the African jungle. He constantly finds himself in diverse perilous adventures involving wild animals, local tribe members, and white men. 

The full title of the series is Yarmak Jungle King Comic.
