MAIN STORY

The series premiered in 1980. Stopped in 1994 after 58 issues.

The series contains diverse stories of American soldiers fighting in World War 2. The most often recurring character is sergent Flint (AKA the main character in Sgt. Rock), who is credited on the front covers as Soldaten der hadede Krigen (The Soldier who hated the War in English).
