Comments: * The corporation was bought by Acclaim Entertainment in 1994 that stopped in 2004. Valiant then continued the corporation from 2008. Different logos were used during the periods; the one shown to the left derives from the initial run.

 

 

MAIN STORY

The series premiered in 1992. Stopped in 1996 after 70 issues*, but was revived from 1996 to 1998 (additional 21 issues), and from 2012 (ongoing).

The main character is a medieval European knight, Aric of Dacia, who was abducted by aliens and who has now returned dressed in a unique suit of armour that makes the bearer the most powerful being in the universe. The armour is known as X-O Manowar and is basically alive with sentients and intelligence. Aric is sometimes accompanied by characters from other series such as Magnus Robot Fighter, Solar, and Turok.

* The last number was #68 but numbers 0 and 0.5 were published during the run.
