MAIN STORY

The series premiered in 1952.

The title character is a cunning witch with the powers to use black magic and special potions as well as the ability to fly on her broomstick Beelzebub. Although she would probably not admit to it, she is basically a goodnatured witch despite her somewhat haggish appearance.

The stories were/are written by an overwhelming number of artists. Examples: Homer Brightman (1901-1988), Carl Barks (1901-2000), Robert 'Bob' Louis Karp (1911-1975), Evert Geradts (1943-), Janet Rae Gilbert (1953-), Frank Jonker (1965-).
