Personal dates: Founded in 1934 by Malcolm Wheeler-Nicholson (1890-1968) as National Allied Publications, but the name changed in 1937 to Detective Comics (later shortened to DC). Stopped in 2011.

Comments: The corporation's logo changed several times over the years. The selected one ran from 1976 to 2005.

 

 

MAIN STORY

The series premiered in 1985. Stopped in 1987 after 26 issues, but was revived as Who's Who in the DC Universe from 1990 to 1992 (16 issues).

The series is essentially a type of comic book encyclopedia, in which DCs most prominent starring characters are presented in alphabetical order in 1-pagers.

The full title of the series is Who's Who: The Definitive Directory of the DC Universe.
