MAIN STORY

The series premiered in 1942*. Stopped in 1952 after 18 issues.

The series' title character Wambi - bynamed Jungle Boy - is a boy of unknown origin, who is wearing a red turban as his trademark. He lives among the wild animals in a jungle in African Congo (the occasional presence of Asian animals is never explained). His animal friends include the elephant Tawn, the hippopotamus Hyda, and the gorilla Ogg.
