MAIN STORY

The series premiered in 1954. Stopped in 1998, but has been revived several times from 1993 on in independent series. The longest lasting was titled Turok, Dinosaur Hunter and ran from 1993 to 1996 (47 issues).

The series started with two pre-Columbian Indians, Turok and Andar, who, during a hunting expedition, ventures into a deep cavern only to stumble over an isolated valley inhabited by ancient tribes and prehistoric dinosaurs. It takes the two friends all their skills to just stay alive in the valley where they are forced to remain for decades without being able to return to their own habitat.

The full title of the series on this page is Turok, Son of Stone.
