The series premiered in
1975. Stopped in 1986.
The series consists of
multiple stories satirically describing modern
culture with its often paradoxic and deceptive
lifestyle. Lauzier's stories are based heavily on
dialogue, and he comments and exposes with no
limitations. We are introduced to all walks of
life and people's strange inclination to live on
contradictions.
The series' title, Tranches de
Vie (Slices of Life), dates back to 1892 and
was originally used by the French playwright Jean
Julien.
