The main character in this dark
gangster series taking place during the 1930s is Italian born Luca Torelli, who
is forced to flee the mafia after having been the instigator of
his father's death. He settles in New York City, USA, where he
via an initial career as a bank robber ends up as a Torpedo
(that era's slang for a hitman or contract killer).
Often
the series is referred to as simply Torpedo.
