MAIN STORY

The series premiered in 2003. Stopped in 2004 after 7 issues, but was briefly revived in 2005 (additional 2 issues).

Several Japanese girls are infused with DNA of rare animals which gives them special powers as Mew Mews, i.e. so-called catgirls. This enables them to battle and defeat chimera animals, a breed of alien parasites. The most often recurring catgirls are Mint Aizawa, Pudding Fong, Zakuro Fujiwara, Lettuce Midorikawa, Ichigo Momomiya, and Berry Shirayuki.
