Personal dates: Founded in 1943 by Vincent 'Vin' Sullivan (1911-1999). Before he started the company Sullivan was the editor of National Allied Publications (later known as DC Comics). Stopped in 1958.

Comments: The corporation published a large number of titles in many genres, but most of them only lasted for a few issues.

 

 

MAIN STORY
The series premiered in 1948. Stopped in 1954 after 41 issues.

The character of Tim Holt is a rancher near the fictional town of Bullet in the Old West. When he meets injustice he deals with the culprits sometimes accompanied by his friend Chito José Gonzales Bustamonte Rafferty (Chito for short). From time to time Holt takes on his secret identity as Red Mask.
The series is partly based on the work of actor Charles John 'Tim' Holt III (1919-1973), who played in several B-Westerns.
