MAIN STORY

The series premiered in 1938*. Stopped in 1997.

The two chubby main characters, Tif who is rather carefree and Tondu who is more level-headed, are adventurers and detectives working in many locations, where they solve cases of fraud, kidnapping, and murder.
The actual names of the two investigators are unknown. We are only told their aliases, which are quite confusing: Tif is French slang for Hair (still he is bald and clean-shaven), and Tondu means Shaven (still he is the one with hair and beard).

* In the first albums Tif had not yet met Tondu, so the series' first title was Aventures de Tif.
