MAIN STORY
The series premiered in 1951. Stopped in 1963 after 450 issues.

The series contains several independent action stories loosely based on the adventures of  diverse classic book heroes such as Ivanhoe, Robin Hood, and The Three Musketeers. Later on, the issues concentrated on contemporary, fictional heroes such as Battler Britton, John Steel, and Spy 13.

From issue #191 the series was titled Thriller Picture Library.
