MAIN STORY

The series premiered in 1950. Stopped in 1955 after 29 issues (the numbering starts from #12 following War against Crime! (11 issues).

The series contains a mixture of independent, creepy horror stories. Mostly, they are hosted by The Old Witch, The Crypt-keeper, and The Vault-keeper.

EC published 3 major horror series during the same span of years. The others were Tales from the Crypt and Tales Haunt of Fear. All of them stopped following new, strict rules from the highly protective Comics Code (see more HERE).
