Personal dates: Founded in 1957 by James Warren Taubman (1930-).  Stopped in 1983.

Comments: The corporation especially published comic books in fantasy, horror, and science fiction genres.
The corporation never used a logo on their comic book front covers. The only identification (if any!) was the rather inconspicuous line A Warren Magazine.

 

 

MAIN STORY
The series premiered in 1979*. Stopped in 1982 after 14 issues.

The title character is scientist Restin Dane, who, via a time machine resembling the chess piece named a Rook (hence his alter ego name), travels in time on adventurous missions.
