MAIN STORY

The series premiered in 1966*. Stopped in 1996 after 377 issues, but has been revived numerous times since then.

The Norse God leader Odin places his son Thor among the people of Earth as part of his upbringing, but Thor likes the humans so much that he later refuses to return to godhood and his birthplace in Asgard. He now has superpowers, and he also uses his special hammer Mjolnir as a powerful tool against villainous elements.

* The character was first published in Journey into Mystery that ran from 1952 to 1966 (125 issues), thus the numbering of the series on this page starts at #126.
