MAIN STORY
The series premiered in 1893*. Stopped in 1901 after 760 issues*.

The total series* contains several action and humour stories featuring long forgotten series such as Basil and Bert, Billy Muggins, Chubblock Homes, Jessie Joy, Moonlight Moggie, and Sandy and Dusty.

* The publishing sequences and change of titles are both overwhelming and bewildering: The first issues were published by Harmsworth before he started Amalgamated and ran from 1892 titled The Wonder, but were retitled The Funny Wonder beginning from 1893. Later on, the series was renamed (examples only) The Wonder and Jester, The Jester, The Jolly Jester, The Penny Wonder, and The Halfpenny Wonder, to finally come full circle and end as The Wonder in 1953.
