CREATOR

Name: DC (American comics corporation).
Personal dates: Founded in 1934 by Malcolm Wheeler-Nicholson (1890-1968) as National Allied Publications, but the name changed in 1937 to Detective Comics (later shortened to DC). Stopped in 2011.

Comments: The corporation's logo changed several times over the years. The selected one ran from 1976 to 2005.

 

 

MAIN STORY

The series premiered in 1991*. Stopped in 1992 after 17 issues.

The starring character is Jason Troy who is given an amber pendant with a fly trapped inside. As it turns out, the pendant makes Troy a superhero as for strength and the ability to fly as a fly (i.e. climbing any surface and sticking to ceilings). In a specially designed costume he now ventures out to battle villains.

* The first series ran from 1959 to 1964 (30 issues). The starring character was Thomas 'Tommy' Troy, and the series on this page is loosely based on that older series.
