The series premiered in 1962. Stopped in 1970 after 54 issues.

The series takes place in the Stone Age. In it we meet the Flintstone family consisting of Fred and Wilma (and later on Pebbles) and the Rubble family consisting of Barney and Betty (and later on Bamm-Bamm).
We follow the daily - and somewhat tumultuous - life in the town of Bedrock, where the men go to work and the women function as housewives. They are all using a great variety of gadgets that resemble modern day appliances, and they keep pets such as dinosaurs and sabre-toothed tigers.

The series is based on an animated cartoon TV series that ran from 1960 to 1966 (116 episodes).
