MAIN STORY

The series premiered in 1988. Stopped in 2001 after 32 issues.

The wacky stories take place during the Second World War in North Africa, where the famous Axis General Erwin Rommel (nicknamed The Desert Fox) alledgedly has a younger brother Colonel Manfred Pfirsich Marie Rommel (nicknamed The Desert Peach) commanding a misfit unit primarily working as gravediggers. Manfred is basically a decent human being of the homosexual persuasion.
