The series premiered in 1994. Stopped in 1996 after 25 issues.

The series contains independent adventure stories from the Duck universe primarily featuring Donald Duck. The issues also contain multiple articles and interviews presenting the artist Carl Barks and his work.

The full title of the series is The Carl Barks Library of Walt Disney's Donald Duck Adventures in Color.
