Personal dates: Founded in 1934 by Malcolm Wheeler-Nicholson (1890-1968) as National Allied Publications, but the name changed in 1937 to Detective Comics (later shortened to DC). Stopped in 2011.

MAIN STORY

The series premiered in 1950. Stopped in 1968 after 109 issues.

The series follows a famous comedian on various, fictitious (mis)adventures all over the world. The starring character is Leslie 'Bob' Townes Hope (1903-2003), who was one of the USAs greatest entertainers in films and on stage for decades.
