MAIN STORY
The series premiered in 1929.

The plots are always taking place on the African continent and mostly in a jungle, where Tarzan (the name is supposed to mean 'The White Ape' in the local tongue) fights all sorts of animals, rebellious native tribes, and white hunters and common criminals.
In the comics he is usually without supporting characters such as Jane, a white woman, and Cheetah, a chimpanzee, who are frequently seen in the film series of Tarzan.

NB.: The panels are without speech bubbles. All texts - including dialogue - are placed either inside or under the individual panels.
