Personal dates: Founded in 1934 by Malcolm Wheeler-Nicholson (1890-1968) as National Allied Publications, but the name changed in 1937 to Detective Comics (later shortened to DC). Stopped in 2011.

MAIN STORY

The series premiered in 1956. Stopped in 1968 after 104 issues, but continued as The Unexpected from 1968 to 1982 (additional 118 issues).

The series contains independent science fiction stories featuring diverse puzzling and creepy incidents and events.
