:  The corporation chiefly published pulp fiction magazines and novels, but from 1940 to 1949 it took up publishing comic books as well. It never used a logo on these front covers.

 

 

MAIN STORY

The series premiered in 1942*. Stopped in 1949 after 44 issues.

The series' main character is Koppy McFad, whose tagline is 'the boy with the most comic books in America'. The 10-year old deals with petty criminals in his neighbourhood, but as Supersnipe he dreams of being a feared villain-chaser and a rescuer of people, a superhero wearing long red flannel underwear, a cape, and a mask.

* The title character was first seen in Shadow Comics. The numbering of the series on this page starts at #6, as the first issues were published titled Army and Navy Comics from 1941 to 1942 (5 issues).
