The series premiered in 1947. Stopped in 1959 after 394 issues.

The issues contain several action and humour stories featuring numerous series such as Battler Britton, Billy the Kid, Buck Jones, Dick Turpin, Roy Rogers, and Wild Bill Hickok.

The title of the series varied between Sun, The Sun, and Sun Comic.
