MAIN STORY

The series premiered in 2010. Stopped in 2013 after 9 issues.

The main character is Sumi Kitamura, a 15-year old girl who lives in extreme poverty with her siblings in 1892. When she attempts to prostitute herself in order not to have her siblings sold as slaves, she meets Soichiro Ashida who wants to marry her to get an inheritance. At the beginning they have little affection for each other, but they get married for practical reasons anyway.
