MAIN STORY

The series premiered in 1978. Stopped in 1983 after 50 issues, but has been revived several times starring other characters in the leading role.

The title character's real identity is that of Jessica Miriam Drew, who grew up in London, England. She was once bitten by a spider, and in an attempt to save her life, her father injected her with a special serum, that changed her dramatically - she acquired superhuman strength and reflexes, all of which she uses to fight villains.
