The series premiered in

The character of Smørbukk (means
Butterball in English and is slang for a chubby
person) started in the series as a youngster, but
has since 'grown' to be a teenager, which he
still is. He is a practical boy, who likes to
help out whenever he can, although he experiences
a few mishaps from time to time. Smørbukk's
given name is unknown.
* Smørbukk is originally
based on a Norwegian folktale about a boy who
wins over a troll through his cunningness. The
tale was first published in 1841.
