MAIN STORY |
The series premiered in 1919. Stopped in 1925 after 6 annual Christmas issues*, but continued under another publisher until 1929 (additional 4 issues). The stories tell about the goodhearted cobbler Bekk and his twins and their daily lifes. The basic idea was to make a Norwegian parallel to some of the main characters from two American series, namely Jiggs from Bringing Up Father and the twins Hans and Fritz from The Kaptain and the Kids. Initially, the full title of the series was Skomaker Bekk og Tvillingene Hans (meaning Shoemaker Bekk and his Twins in English). * An issue for 1920 was never published. |
