Name: Bladkompaniet AS (Norwegian comics corporation).
Personal dates: Started in 1915 as publisher of books and lifestyle magazines, and later comic books were added. Sold to Schibsted AS in 1999.

MAIN STORY

The series premiered in 1919. Stopped in 1925 after 6 annual Christmas issues*, but continued under another publisher until 1929 (additional 4 issues).

The stories tell about the goodhearted cobbler Bekk and his twins and their daily lifes. The basic idea was to make a Norwegian parallel to some of the main characters from two American series, namely Jiggs from Bringing Up Father and the twins Hans and Fritz from The Kaptain and the Kids.

Initially, the full title of the series was Skomaker Bekk og Tvillingene Hans (meaning Shoemaker Bekk and his Twins in English).
