The series premiered in 1973. Stopped in 1978, but had a short revival from 1988 to 1989.

The title character stars in this post-apocalyptic saga, in which he wanders aimlessly around philosophizing on man's self-inflicted atrocities. In this new, simpler world people are divided into two main groups - hunters and farmers inhabit the countryside, while the cities are occupied by increasingly more menacing, technological beings.
