MAIN STORY

The series premiered in 1988*. Stopped in 1990 after 23 issues, but has been revived several times since then.

The starring character is the infallible and intelligent British detective Sherlock Holmes originating from the Victorian age. Using his incredible deductive powers and abilities for logical reasoning via observation he solves all the criminal cases, in which he gets involved. Accompanying him is his more befuddled sidekick, Doctor John Watson.

* The character as such was the brainchild of British author Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, and he has since the first publishing in 1887 been the star in multiple books, films, TV series, newspaper strips, and comic books. The series on this page contains newspaper strip reprints from the 1950s.
