Name: Egmont Group (worldwide comics corporation).
Personal dates: Founded in Denmark in 1878 by Egmont Harald Petersen (1860-1914) and has since then changed name several times (the most well known older name is probably Gutenberghus). Ongoing.

Comments: The corporation has always focussed on childrens' literature. It has branches all over the world, but the pages in this site are all examples from the Danish main  branch.

 

 

MAIN STORY

The series premiered in 2000. Stopped in 2006 after 19 issues.

The main character is a 16-year old boy by the name of Ryo Narushima. He is initially portrayed as a relentless and cold-blooded killer (he has killed his parents) as well as a brutal thug and rapist, but he also has another side that shows caring for those close to him.

The series' title is Japanese for the English term Game Cock, i.e. a rooster trained for fighting.
