The series premiered in 1988. Stopped in 1990 after 20 issues.

The stories feature the imaginary events of a famous Brazilian actor and TV star. The series is built upon Sérgio 'Mallandro' Neiva Cavalcanti, who, during the 1980s and 1990s, hosted several TV shows primarily aimed at children.

The full title of the series is Revista do Sérgio Mallandro.
