Name: Egmont Group (worldwide comics corporation).
Personal dates: Founded in Denmark in 1878 by Egmont Harald Petersen (1860-1914) and has since then changed name several times (the most well known older name is probably Gutenberghus). Ongoing.

Comments: The corporation has always focussed on childrens' literature. It has branches all over the world, but the pages in this site are all examples from the Danish main  branch.

 

 

MAIN STORY

The series premiered in 1992*. Stopped in 1999 after 13 issues.

The main character is Dream, the anthropomorphic and abstract personification of man's hopes and dreams, who influences and controls your dreams and moves you to different time ages and to meeting diverse characters from mythology and history.
The series' title refers to a mythological character (often a boy) in European folklore, who brings good dreams to people by sprinkling magical sand into their eyes.

* The series derives from the USA and was published from 1989 to 1996 (75 issues). It has no connection to the Sandman character from Justice Society.
