MAIN STORY

The series premiered in 2003. Stopped in 2006 after 28 issues.

The stories take place during the late 1800s Japan, when the nation was in turmoil from wars and revolutions. The main character is the former swordsman and assassin Himura Kenshin, who has now become a wanderer and protector of people.

The term Rurouni means Exiled in English.
