MAIN STORY

The series premiered in 1964. Stopped in 1965 after 24 issues.

The series features the woodsman Rocky who lives on a small swamp island near the American-Canadian border in the late 1800s. He usually works for the nearby forts Henry and Pitt, and he is a friend of the Indian tribes who call him The Spirit with the Ax, because he always carries a special stone ax, which he uses in his job as well as in battles against enemies such as red Indians and white settlers. Sometimes Rocky is accompanied by his Mexican friend Cico.
