MAIN STORY

The series premiered in 1985. Stopped in 1988 after 23 issues*.

The Robotech Masters of an intergalactic empire have built a powerful weapon that has now been destroyed, and a group of members come to Earth in search of a vital ingredient, the Protoculture Matrix, in order to repair their main weapon.

* Parallel to the series ran two similar series: Robotech The Macross Saga from 1985 to 1989 (35 issues), and Robotech The New Generation from 1985 to 1988 (25 issues).
