MAIN STORY

The series premiered in 1997*. Stopped in 1998 after 11 issues, but has been briefly revived several times since then.

The series describes an abandoned alien starship, that falls into the hands of Earth's scientists, who reconstruct it and make it ready for battle action in Space named SDF-1. But a race of aliens, the Zentraedi, wants the ship for their own purposes. Among the many recurring characters are the starship's pilot Rick Hunter.

Initially, the series is a product of three anime science fiction TV series that was aired in 1985 (a total of 85 episodes).

* The series was first published in several versions from 1985 and sporadically since then. From 1988 to 1995 is was published titled Robotech II The Sentinels - again in several versions.
